A first-person account of the birth of Combat Diving in Brazil. Theo Toscano, or Commander Toscano as he became better known, narrates his journey in diving, from the creation of the Combat Divers Group and the challenges of teaching the first Combat Diving course in Brazil, to breaking a record for autonomous diving in the Brazilian Navy at the age of 66.
DIVEOPS presents important news and releases in its September edition. We highlight the incorporation of the new SAR launch by the Brazilian Navy into the Rio de Janeiro Port Authority, reinforcing the safeguarding of life at sea.
In this edition, we cover the step-by-step process for bidding on diving equipment under the new Bidding Law, the technical work of the ACTION Dive and Rescue channel, PADI's 60th anniversary, CMAS's return to Brazil through CBES, and an exclusive interview with Cláudio Ferreira.
